Gold Getting Heavy: Looking for a Swing Short Opportunity

Hey KoraFX fam! Hope everyone's having a good week. Gold (XAU/USD) has been on my watchlist, and it's definitely looking heavy right now, down 0.8% over the last 24 hours. Current price is hanging around 2896.64, but I'm seeing a potential for more downside.

Technical Readout

The overall trend here is clearly bearish, can't make this up. We've seen a pretty consistent move lower, with the day range bouncing between 2861.61 and 2931.68. I'm looking for a short entry around 2913. This level looks like a nice retest of previous support that's now turned into resistance. Classic setup right here! My stop loss is set at 2997, just above that psychological 3000 resistance level and the 2950 resistance, giving it some room but keeping my risk conservative. If we break above 3000, my thesis is probably busted.

Fundamental Flavor & My Target

Fundamentally, I think we're seeing some general USD strength playing a role here, maybe some risk-on sentiment pulling away from safe-havens like gold. For my take profit, I'm eyeing 2787. That's a decent push past the 2
