Alright team, Jack Martin here, coming at you from Sydney. Been watching WTI closely, and while the immediate trend has been bullish, up around 0.8% in the last 24 hours to 73.0796, I'm starting to see some cracks forming for a potential swing short. Today's high hit 73.9489, but it's struggling to push through. This looks juicy if you're patient!
Charting the Reversal
From a technical perspective, WTI is bumping up against some pretty strong resistance. We've got 73.5 in the immediate vicinity, and then that big psychological level at 74. Given the day range has already stretched from 72.2102 to 73.9489, I reckon we might see some exhaustion around these levels. I'm looking for a short entry around 73.36, anticipating a rejection or at least a significant pullback from this resistance zone. My stop loss is set at 74.75, just giving it a bit of room above the 74 resistance in case of a quick spike, but honestly, if it clears that, my thesis is probably broken.
